Tinnitus Multi-Therapy
- How do I set my tinnitus frequency?
- Press and hold the frequency slider. A tone sounds and follows your thumb as you drag. The control underneath switches it between a clear tone and a hiss; use whichever is closer to your own tinnitus.
- Can I play music over it?
- Yes. It mixes with other audio instead of interrupting it, and other apps will not interrupt it either.
- Does it keep playing with the screen off?
- Yes. Unplugging headphones pauses it instead of switching to the speaker.
- What do Full and Bare do?
- Full includes background tones above and below the range the sound is built around, which is what the original study did. They make the sound fuller and easier to ignore. Bare drops them, so more of what you hear sits where it is aimed. Bare is louder and harsher, and there is no guarantee it works better.
- Amplitude or Phase?
- Two ways of making the sound shift. Amplitude varies how loud each tone is. Phase varies its timing, which you hear as a slight waver. The study tried both and got nearly identical results, so pick whichever is easier to listen to.
- Are my settings saved?
- Yes, on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere. See the privacy policy.
